Some may disagree, but I believe that the game between last season’s Premier League champions and the newly promoted side could be one of the most intriguing fixtures of round four. On September 14, Burnley will host Liverpool.
There’s hardly anything to say about Liverpool except praise: they dominated last season, finishing well ahead of all competitors. The Reds also started this campaign perfectly: three games, three wins, and a 100% record.
Burnley, on the other hand, returned to the Premier League this season after promotion from the Championship. The team is eager to prove itself at the top level.
The first three rounds have already shown a pattern: Burnley feel far more comfortable at home. They secured a 2–0 win over Sunderland at Turf Moor but lost both away matches to Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

Prediction for the Burnley vs Liverpool
Despite Liverpool being the obvious favorite, I don’t expect an easy walk for them. Burnley are highly motivated and strong on home soil.
The newcomers will likely sit deep in defense from the start, while the champions will push hard to break through. Still, the class difference should decide the outcome in the end, so the logical bet here is a Liverpool win.
