COCA - Centre of Contemporary Art

The first meeting of the canterbury society of arts was held at st michael church 30 june 1880. The purpose for the society was for the organisation and promotion of fine arts in canterbury.

SInce then it has flourished as the centre of Christchurch's contemporary art scene.
