Canterbury Museum

Housed in an exquisite historic building, Canterbury Museum is world renowned for its natural and human history collections. A frequently changing programme of exhibitions and events complements the Museum’s permanent displays. Of particular interest are the outstanding Maori exhibits, the Victorian Christchurch Street and the Antarctic collection. There is also interactive fun for the children in the Discovery area. Canterbury Museum is on Rolleston Avenue at the end of Worcester Boulevard by the Botanic Gardens, just over 500 metres from Cathedral Square.
