French Fest
Friday 10th–Saturday 11th October 2008
A fabulous celebration of all things French in the first French settlement in New Zealand. Join the residents of Akaroa as they paint the town Red, White and Blue for a town wide market day with French food and wine stalls, market stalls, entertainment, fun and frivolous competitions and a re-enactment of the first French landing in Akaroa.

Public carparking will be available at Akaroa School, 141 Rue Jolie, Akaroa - $5 per vehicle
Alternatively Red Bus are operating a direct Shuttle Service to Akaroa for French Fest, departing from outside the CCC Civic Offices in Tuam Street at 9.30am and returning from Akaroa at 5.30pm.
Fare: $20 per person, $75 Family (2 adults + 2 children under 15 years of age)
