The hat shops are about to get hectic, restaurants and bars are brimming with stylish crowds, and colourful fashions, along with the Garden City’s flowers, are popping up everywhere - it must be New Zealand Cup and Show Week.

This uniquely Canterbury occasion draws people from all over the country and beyond to experience premier racing, fashion, food and entertainment. In an action-packed week you can don fabulous fashions, get a taste of rural life, local produce and wine, have a flutter at the horses or greyhounds, dance to live music or see a the country’s only indoor rodeo – to name only a few.
